The wife...

So, while my mom was here, I had the pleasure of visiting my dearest friend/sister/wife (we are not officially married, but when we are together we act like an old married couple) Rachel Machnik. Her and I enjoyed a wonderful walk in my home town of Newmarket, Ontario. We walked to Main Street, had some tea and lunch and an amazing conversation. Then I bought 2 dozen tarts from this little bakery/diner called "The Maids Cottage" (I have been eating their amazing tarts since I was a child), and we sat out front on a bench to eat some tarts, because you can NEVER wait until you get home to have one, impossible. We sat, ate, chatted, and watched the lights change and the people go by (see, old married couple).

Rachel always loves sharing her talent and encourages others; this is why I love her. She insisted that we take photographs, and I love shooting Rachel, she is beautiful and takes direction so amazingly (as you can see from many blog posts of images of her glowing face and beautiful figure) but this time, she insisted that she take photos of... ME? So I allowed it and she did an amazing job. One of these images will be on my website, I'm sure.

I hope you enjoy them,

JMS

*A quick little blip about this last image that has me just glowing as I post this:

I was editing and was getting a little self-conscious about myself and my wonderful boyfriend said "When I look at you, I see a pair of eyes. The rest of you just complements them. You're beautiful." I just love him.

Oh Mother

So, my mother is here for a visit *yay*. There have been 5 of us residing in my tiny apartment on and off for the last two weeks. It has been cozy, but amazing. I had to jump at the opportunity to have some wonderful photographs taken of my mom and I while she is in town. My very good friend, Stephanie McGinn (http://stephaniemcginn.com), took these amazing photos of us, and I am ever so grateful. Here are my favourites.

Thank you again, Steph.

Enjoy,

JMS

Also, a thank you to my very sweet boyfriend for holding the reflector... and for this gem:

Art Deco

So when I was in Miami we went to south beach. I Adored the buildings that towered around us. I tried to get some neat shots, but we were doing some shopping so I ended up with my hands a little full. Here are a few fun ones, I hope they are enjoyed.

Diver videos to come, once I learn how to edit videos... soon to be new skill, I hope.

(this last image was taken in Key West, I just think the building is amazing)

I guess I should admit it,

I miss my mother, and it's really starting to get to me. I am counting the months until she is home for a visit, though it really won't be soon enough. These are some pictures I took in florida when I was down visiting her and her awesome partner, Mark. I am so grateful for this wonderful gift they gave me. This trip was truly an experience.

Enjoy,

I am now 24... and 1/2

My Birthday was last summer, and it has taken me this long to process the photos from that night. These are some of my favourite.

Something fun I just found on my harddrive and thought would be neet to post. I have been out of school for 2 or so weeks now and I'm already longing to be back... sad I know.

Cheers,
