Botched

Hello world,

I have been busy working with new clients and doing some really neat jobs for friends over the last little while. It has taken me some time to find photos I am able to share here, as most of my new clients are revamping their websites and social networks. Once they have the photos I have taken for them up on line and I have the go ahead to post about them I will share their photos and link you to the content. You are then welcome to let me know what you think, and hey, maybe their information might come in handy in the future. Until then...

I had the wonderful privilege to sit in on a rehearsal of my friend Colleen's wonderful show Botched, that will be participating in The Toronto Fringe Festival. Their opening night was tonight, and I am excited to hear back about how it went. I snapped a few shots while they were playing with the lighting and the staging, and I think I ended up with some lovely dark images.

Her show is A dark and absurd comedy drawing influence from Sarah Kane and Eugene Ionesco, Botched explores the polarized debate on abortion. The play follows the parallel journeys of two women: One who had an abortion eighteen years ago; another, a surviving ‘botched’ fetus all grown up who searches for her mother. (I took this from the facebook page because she described it so well)

The actresses are wonderful, sweet and beautiful. The dolls are quirky, creepy and quite cheeky. The writing is well thought out and poetic. The theater is is newly airconditioned. What more could you want?

They have 7 more showings, and the tickets are only $10. If you like plays and are looking for something different, I recommend checking it out. I'm excited for my chance to see the show in it's entirety, with all the passion and tallent put into this play, how could I not be?
